Big Buddha Temple, known in Thai as “Wat Phra Yai" is 15 metres tall. It is Koh Samui's most popular tourist attraction. It was built in 1972 by the local society to give visitors a place to pay respect to the Lord Buddha. This monument is a striking landmark and is located on the island's Northern shore, close to the international airport.

ATV Tours allow you to drive a four wheel motorbike along dirt tracks and zip through the jungle at speed. Located in the south of the island, the least developed part, this is a great way to experience places you wouldn't normally get to see.

Canopy Adventures offers a unique way to get about the jungle by enjoying an adrenalin-pumping ride down a steel rope suspended between platforms in a rainforest . You're strapped on for safety and rush through the air at speed before coming to a safe stop.

Nightlife consisting of bars, cabarets shows and discos are mainly located in Chaweng and Lamai. Green Mango, Reggae Pub, Full Circle and Bauhaus are the main discos playing trendy tunes while some other venues like The Cliff, Pod Bar, Guapa, Zicos offer a different atmosphere, music style and exciting cocktail lists. All bars and clubs close at 2:00am.

Snake Farm is a one of the most popular attractions with visitors to Koh Samui. It is a show that features snakes, indigenous to Koh Samui, as well as Centipedes and Scorpions. Take your camera because visitors are invited to join in! It is located in Taling Ngam which is just south of Nathon. It is informative and entertaining in typical Thai fashion. Follow the signs seen throughout the island. Show times are 11.00 and 14.00 everyday.

Restaurants. Samui is renowned for its fine seafood. Restaurants around the island offer Thai and European menus along with fusion cuisine and other specialties. You should also try the large range of tropical fruits and a fresh coconut. For further details see the Samui Dining Guide.

Full Moon Parties are famous but this island has a whole lot more to offer. There are so many things to do and there follows some suggestions relating to some of the many attractions on Koh Phangnan.

Thai Cooking Classes are available from several operators on Koh Phangan. It's a great way to learn about all the fresh ingredients and spices that go into your favourite dishes and how to make them so you can continue to enjoy a taste of Thailand when you return home.

A Bicycle Tour of the island. You'll get to experience lots of different terrain, trails that you wouldn't be able to access by car and take in some sights you may not have discovered yourself e.g. visiting a coconut factory, rubber plantation and animal shelter.

Wakeboarding is available in Chaloklum village and they have a good set up of equipment and boats. They can provide lessons and rental hire. It is a great activity for a group of friends or a family. The water is often calm and provides good conditions for this activity.

A Fun Adventure Water Obstacle Course is located behind the pine trees that shade the north of Srithanu beach. Here you will find what is known as The Challenge - a course that is very similar to the wipeout course of TV fame. It has a series of rope swings, stepping stones, rolling barrells, monkey bars and of course those big red balls. If you complete the course in a good time you'll make it on to the wipeout leader board wall of fame.

Mae Haad is a relaxed and tranquil long white beach. It is connected by a sandbar to a very small island called Koh Ma. The area is a protected National Marine Park and is also a perfect spot for snorkelling. Although it is very quiet here there are a handful of restaurants and beach bars so you can enjoy a truly enjoyable evening here watching the spectacular sunset on the beach.

Samui Beach Village is located on the beachfront on the south east coast of Koh Samui. The village is on Nahai Beach, one of the many beaches around the island.

There are fourteen one and two storey villas in the village. There are villas for rent, villas for sale and others that have permanent residents living in them. All fourteen villas are privately owned and each villa owner has a shareholding in the common area company, Samui Beach Village Co Ltd.

All of the villas on Samui Beach Village have their own unique private swimming pool and some have specacular views over the silver sandy beach and out over the Sea of Thailand.

They are all large Thai-style luxury villas offering a more modern internal style of tropical living. Each villa is set in tropical landscaped garden with coconut trees and exotic flowers which attract a beautiful array of colourful butterflies and birds. The design and finishing of each villa is unique, but all accentuate Thai openness and warmth.

Most villas have been designed in a Thai/Balinese style but all have the facilities that you would expect in a luxury beach villa in Koh Samui, Thailand. The fusion of a luxury villa in Koh Samui with a dream setting will sweep you away, leaving behind only the finest five star experience.

A stay at one of these Samui Beach Village villas will offer you an insight into "the real Samui", with water buffalos idling up the beach as the sun goes down and fishing boats dotting the horizon. Only a few people share the bay, so you avoid the masses and stay in one of these villas.
